Trias Pedagogica is a unique consultancy agency specialized in fatherhood, education and inter cultural pedagogy. We work with various partners: (local) government, educational institutions as well as health and social care providers.

Trias Pedagogica targets a group that is traditionally hard to reach: parents with a migration background, fathers in particular. In many other programs targeting parents, mothers are the intended audience, rendering these programs more or less inaccessible to fathers. Within immigrant families however, fathers play a very important role in decisions concerning child-rearing and education. Fathers also deal with questions about their role in the context of immigration. That is why it is imperative to involve fathers. Trias Pedagogica is very experienced in reaching fathers with this type of background, involving hundreds of fathers each year, using the method of child-rearing debates which we developed for this purpose.

In addition to our child-rearing debates Trias Pedagogica also offers easy accesses to support for families. Families that often cannot or dare not ask for help of mainstream organizations, Trias Pedagogica supports wherever possible and facilitates the way to the appropriate type of additional care.

Trias Pedagogica offers her services and expertise to professionals and volunteers by means of lectures, workshops and training. We share knowledge on fatherhood, diversity & inclusion as well as how to address taboo subjects like domestic violence (which we discuss as domestic happiness). Trias Pedagogica is frequently invited to conferences and by media to discuss our experience with these topics.

Trias Pedagogica is involved with research too. We do our own research and we collaborate with research institutes such as the Verwey-Jonker Instituut, Movisie, Nederlands Jeugd Instituut (NJI), Kenniswerkplaats Transformatie Jeugd Amsterdam (KeTJa) and various Universities.
